Walking into my first Pilates mat class in a very long time was a bit intimidating. I knew there would be people who were much more advanced than me, and I was unsure as to how the hour would play out. There was, however, one thing that instantly put me at ease-- my instructor, Lesley Logan. From the first minutes of stepping into the studio she made me feel extremely welcome with her wonderful personality. Throughout the entire class she explained each exercise and made sure we knew exactly how and why we were doing them. She did so in such a way that even the more advanced members in the class were learning new things. Moving through each exercise isn't enough you have to visual it as well, and Lesley did a great job coming up with creative analogies so that we moved and visualized each move at the same time. (this was something I found to to be very helpful as a beginner and now as a more advanced student)
Never one for boring exercises Lesley's mat classes are always a bit different as if each time is a brand new experience. Her love for Pilates is infectious so much so that I was hooked after that very first mat class.

I started taking Lesley's evening mat classes twice a week and I am so hooked that I now also take duet (with a partner) and private sessions. Lesley is able to tailor one-on-one sessions specific to my needs, and always creates a variety of workouts on different apparatus. I started Pilates at my local gym but didn't like that it was a huge class and I could not get the one-on-one corrections I needed to get the results I wanted - I am so happy I found Lesley as an instructor. She constantly challenges me which has made me physically and mentally stronger while transforming my body. Lesley is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and stays up to date by taking workshops and classes from master instructors. Lesley's Sunday group reformer classes are a great workout in a small group setting, using muscles I never knew I had, this class adds another dimension to strengthening my core and overall conditioning. Pilates is an amazing addition to complement my cardio workout, and Lesley makes the workouts fun and enjoyable while challenging me and making me sweat! My private Pilates session are my weekly 'zen' time and I look forward to my sessions with Lesley, knowing that I will leave feeling positive and inspired for the week ahead.
